That any town official elected or appointed who are ~equired to.use~their
own automobile in the performance of duty be compensated for travel expenses
necessarily and actually incurred in carrying out the duties of his office
at a rate not to exceed 10 cents per_~ile.

the Town Clerk. The bus will leave Greenport parking lot at 2:00 P.M. Sunay
day February 9, 1969 and leave New York Wednesday Feb. 12, 1969 at 2:00 P~.M.

office and that such appointment shall take effect January 16, 1969 and the

line to the Police Head~/uarters from telephone booths and boxes' at a cost
not to exceed $35.00 per month, The~system would allow anyone to call
without charge by dialing 911 from anywahere in the Town direct to Police
Headquarters.

sible bidder, 500,000 gallons of Asphalt Road Material (more or less, as_
may be needed) for the repairs of Town Highways, to be delivered when so
ordered by the Superintendent of Highways.

orized to sign an agreement with the Southold Fire District for~a joint
fire well to be installed at the Highway Department property, Pe¢0nic,
New York, the cost not to exceed $1500.00, the Southold~Fire Distr~ct
to pay half of the cost. ~

WHEREAS, this Board desires to construct a town building on town property
to be used for purposes of the Police Department and'other related uses, and
WHEREAS, the annual budget for the current fiscal year includes an approp-
riation in the amount of $10,000 for.general contingent purposes~none of
which funds have been expended to da~e, · . i
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: as follows:
1. That a building construction account be and the same is ~ereby created.
2. That the sum of~$1,500,00 be and the same hereby is transferred from
the general contingent fund to_the building construction account and~be
appropriated for the purposes of said account.

itect and engineer be retained to prepare the necessary~plans and specif-
ications and. to provide architectura~ and engineering~sergices with respect
to such project, and
WHEREAS$ Donald J. Brown, Mattituck, N.Y. has conferred with the Board and
has proposed to render such services,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Donal~J. Brown be..and he hereby is
retained as architect and engineer to perfor~ such services relative to
the construction ~of the Police Station for the Town of Southold, Suffolk
County, New York, and that Supervisor Martocchia be and he hereby is
authorized and directed to contract with said Donald J. Brown, said _
contract to be in a form hereunto annexed and made a part thereof, Cost
