Mrs_i J®hn Richmond, Orient, spokesman for a group of residents, requested the~Eas~ern Long Island Hospital to extend the deadline for closing the maternit~ section beyond March 31, 1971 as they are proposing to take action~in obtaining an obstetrician-gynecologist for the area. Two committees ~ave already been formed, one to help locate a doctor and the oth~'to, help convince the residents of Southold Town that the maternity wing~is necessary. They request help from the Town Board. Justice Suter ands!the Board promised to do everything ~n their power to help. Mrs. Carl Cooper of Greenport asked the Board's ~etp in keeping the his- toricalSt.~ Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenport. The 100 year old building ~with its lovely stained glass windows is for sale an~ there is a chance that it will be moved from the community. Supervisor ~artoc¢~hia said that the Board has been considering renting a part of the church to house the Narcotics Council, but that the owner had turned the~o-ard~do~-~. The Board promises to continue its efforzs. The period of probable usefulness, of the specific objeX% o~ purpose ~or which the onds authorized pursuant to this resol- ution- are to be issued, within the limitations of Section 11.00 a. 20. of thee Law, is fiue (5) years. (b,) Current funds are not required to be provided prior to the issuance-~f the bonds authorized pursuant to this resolution, or any bond anticipation notes issued in anticipation thereof, pursuant to the pro= visions of Section 107.00 of the Law. (c) The proposed maturity of the bonds authorized pursuant to this resolution may bxceed five (5) years. Section 4. Each of the bonds authorized pursuant to this resolutic and an~ no~es issued in anticipation thereof, shall contain the recital of~ pa~d~e~rescribed by S 52.00 of the Law and said bonds and any notes issued in anticipation of said bonds shall be general obligations of the Town, payable as to both principal and interest by general tax upon all the taxable real property withinlthe Town without limitation of rate or amount. The faith and credit.of the Town are~hereby irrevocably pledged to the punctual payment of the principal of and interest on said bonds a~ P~isions shall be made annually in the budget of the Town by appropri- atioD~for (a) the amortization and redemption of the bonds to mature in such year and (b) the payment of interest to be due and payable in such ye~r'~ Section 5. Pursuant to the provisions of this resolution and purs~ ant to ~he provisions of S 30.00 relative to the authorization of the issuance of bond anticipation notes and S 50 and Ss 56.'00 and 60.00 of the Law, ~the powers and duties of the Town Board relative to prescribing th~~ {eDms, form and contents and as to the sale.and ~ssuance of said bonds and any notes issued in'.anticipation of said bonds, or ~h~ renewals thereof, are hereby delegated to the Supemvisor, the chief fiscal office~ of the Town. Section 6. The vaildity of the bonds authorized pursuant to this resoiution may be contested only if: (a) such obligations are authoriaed for an object or purpose for which the Town is not authorized to expend money, or (b) the provisions of taw which, should be complied with at ~he ~ date of publication of such resolution, are not substant- ially complied with, and an action, suit. or proceeding con- testing such val.idi~y, is commenced within twenty~days..~fter the date of such publication, or (c) such obligations are au~hor$~edin violation of ~he p~uisions of the constitution.
