WAIVER OF NOTICE OF TOWN BOARDMEETING
WE, the ~ndersigned, being. members of the Town Board of the To~h~
Southold, Suffolk County, New ,Yo~k, do hereby severalky waive noti~el
of the time, place and purpose of the meeting of the ..Town Board~ ~o
be held at Gr~enport, in the Town of Southold,~ on the 4th day of
August, 1970, and do hereby consent that the same be held on said
date for the transaction of. any business which may properly come

WHEREAS, this Board has been advised that Warner, Madaio and ~Wintsrs
are conducting activities on property at Oregon Road, Matt~tu~k~,
New York, in violation of ~%he zening ordinance of ~the Town of
Southold, and ~
WHEREAS, this Board deems it imperative that appropriate lega~ ac£tion
be taken to restraim such violation,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the firm of Smith, ~akker and
Fink~lstein be and they hereby are. retai~ed~to .take suchlega~actl~o~?.~
on behalf of the Town of Southold as they. deem~appropr~te with ~r~e~L
spect to such violation.

The Annual Fishers Islaad meetin~g,.~of the Southold Town Board was held
atFishers Island School on Thursday, August 13, 1970, at 1:00 P.M. with
the following present: Supervisor Martocchia; Councilmen Rich and Valen-
tine; Justices Demarest, Suter and Edwards; Supt. of Highways Dean;
~Town A~torney Tasker and Town C~erk ~ichmond. ~ ..... .....
Supervisor Martocchia introduced the visiting. Stase,~County~ a~d. TQwn~
Officials attending the meeting.
Moved by Justice Suter; seconded by Councilman Valentine;
RESOLVED: That the minutes ~of July 28~ 1970 be and they h~reby are ~approved.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-SuperVisor Martocchia; Councilmen U~entine and
Rich; Justices Demarest, Surer and Edwards.

August 25, 1970, at 3:00 P.M.

RESOLVED: That the report of the Building InspectOr, Board of Appeals,
Justice Suter, Supervisor and Town Clerk for the month of July 1~70~

the Fishers Island residents might have. The dredging of West Lake was.
discussed. Many residents are in favor of ~he dredging but there w~re
objections as to where-a.satisfactory spoil area could be found. ~Mr.
Maxwell Po~ter read ~he ~f~ilowing letter and requested that it

on Isab~ella Avenue which adjoins a marshland.
