The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor Albert Martocchia,

Demarest and Suter; Town Attorney Tasker; Superintendent of H~ghw~ys
Dean and Town Clerk Richmond. Absent: ~ustice E. Perry Edwards~.
Moved by Justice Suter; seconded by Councilman Rich;
RESOLVED: That the minutes of the meeting 'of 'A~il. 2'1, 1970 be"~ andI: they
hereby are approved.

RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to

WHEREAS, tthe Salvation Army, through its 'religious and social' service
programs in'our community, wages war against spiritual and ~ateriai
poverty, he~ping those afflicted to mo~e forward to a better wa~'~6'f life;
NOW~ THEREFORE, I, Albert MartOcchia, Supervisor, do he~eby.proclalm t~e

RESOLVED: That Police Chief Carl Cataldo, Town of $outhold, be and he
hereby is authorized to attend the N.Y.S. Police Chief Conference at
Albany, New York, ~ly 27-28-29-30, 1970, and be it further
RESOLVED: That the actual and necessary expenses to travel, meals and
lodging incurred while attending ~i~ conference'be a legal charge
against the Town of Southold.

WHEREAS~ George McCarthy has applied to the Town Board for a single
trailer permit renewal dated April 21, 1970,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of George McCarthy
to locate a single trailer off Route 25, Laurel, N.Y. be and hereby is
granted for a six month period.

WHEREVer' Southold Planning Board has prepared an official report and
recommendatio~ ~nd the County Planning Board has been notified nad their
report returned to the Town Board on the application of Case Bros. for
a change of zone fram 'A" Residential and Agricula~al District to
"M-l" Multiple Residence District, Cutchog~e, New York,
NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED: That a public hearing will be held by
the So~t%Qld Town Board at the Supervisor's Office, 16 South Street,
G~e&~P0r~,'I Mew York, on Tuesday, June 9, 1970, at 7:30 P.M. on"the above
mentiohed petition and that the Town Clerk be and he hereby is authorized
and directed to cause notice of said hearing to be published in the
Long Island Travelerw pursuant to the requirements of law.

Recess was called at 3:40 P.M. ~and the meeting reconvened at 5:00 P~M~

RESOLVED: That the following fees be charged at the beaches specified
in the Ordinance Regulating the Use of Parking Areasat Southold Town Beaches
$ 1.50 each day at Southold Town Beach.
10.00 Lessee Parking permit per year.
10.00 each unit Hotel-Motel.

RESOLVED: That General Bills in the amount of $11,028.11; Lighting Distric~
Billet'in the amount of $4,301.34; Fishers Island Ferry District Bills in
the amount of $16~456.96 and Highways Bills in the amount of $18,643.39
be an~ t~e same are hereby ordered paid.

Mr. Clement Booth, representative of the Conservation Committee, appeared
b~f6~e ~he Town Board and presented the Supervisor with a resolution on
wetlands, etc. for the Board to study. ~
A ~eSideht of Mattituck Creek area appeared before the Board requesting
that more pllicing of the area be done as boats are speeding and littering.
Announcement was made that the "CLEARWATF2{", a sailing ship, would be in
Greenp~t ~arbor. Arrangements will be made with the schoold fo~ students
to ~isit ~h~ ship.
