The Southold Town Board met at ~the office of~Supervisor Albert~ Martocchia,
16 South Street, Greenport, New York, on Tuesday, January 27, 1970 at
3:00 P.M. with the.following present: SupervisorMartoccRia; Councilm~n
Valentine; and Rich; Justices Surer and Demarest; Town Attorney Tasker;
Supt. of Highways Dean and~Town Clerk Albert Richmond.
Moved by-Justic~ Surer; seconded by Councilman Rich;
RESOLVED: That the minutes of the meeting of January 13, 1970 be and they
hereby are approved.

RESOLVED: That-the reports ?f Justice Suter, Bay Constable Januick and
Fishers Island Fer~y Distr{ct for '~he month of December 1969 be acce~ed
by the Town Board and~plac~d on file.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Martocchia; Councilmen Valentine
and Rich; Justices Demarest and Suter.

WHEREAS, ~a~-~gLark, Attorney for Anna C. Hansen, Mattituck, New ~o~,
for a chang~e of zone from "A" Residential and Agricultural District ~to
"M" Multiple Residence District on Parcel~ 1 and from "A''~ Resid~ntiaI~
and Agricultural District to "B" Business District on Parcel 2, Mat~it-'
uck, ~ew York, has requested a temporary withdrawal for a public hear-
ing on said property;
NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED: That'the resolution of J~nuary ~I970
for a public hearing on said property be rescinded.

and Rich; Justices Demarest and Suter.
Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Councilman Rich;
RESOLVED: That Supervsior Martocchia be and he hereby is authorized to
contract to purchase one Key Punch Machine for tax purposes, the sum not
to exceed $2,396.30 on state contract.

and Rich; Justices Demarest and Suter.
Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Councilman Rich;
RESOLVED: That Bond No. 73 S-688 BC, issued by the Aetna Casualty and
Surety_ Company in the name of Raymond Doyen, Commissioner-Treas~rereof
Fishers Island Garbage and Refuse District, Fishers Island, New York,
in the amount of $1000.00 be and the same is hereby approved as to its
form, manner of execution and sufficiency of sureties therein.

and Rich; Justices Demarest and Suter.

RESOLVED: That Bond No. 73 S-8818 BC, issued by the Aetna Casualty and
Surety Company in the name of William Januick, Town Constable, Town of
Southold, in the amount of $4000.00 be and the same is hereby approved
as to its form, manner of execution and sufficency of sureties therein.

and Rich; Justices Demarest and Suter.

RESOLVED: That Bond No. 73 S-8817 BC, issued by the Aetna Casualty and
Surety Company in the name of Richard Jenssen, Town Constable, Fishers
Island, be and the same is hereby approved as to its form, manner of
execution and sufficiency of sureties therein.

and Rich; Justices Demarest and Suter.

RESOLVED: That Supervisor Albert Martocchia be and he hereby is authorized
to contract with Arcade Department Store, Greenport, New York, for washing
and repairing the blinds in the Town Clerk Building,~ the ~sum not to exceed

Albert-Zan'ows~i appeared before the Board requesting information on the
repairs of the Railroad Bridge on Bridge Lane', Cutchogue, N~Y. The
Supe~is0~-informed him that the Town Board was working on i~.
At 3:00 P.M. in accordance with the notice published according to law,
bids were opened for five (5) new 4-d0or ~sednas, special Police cars,
and optional purchase of one (t) unmarked type 4-door sedan for police

on Friday, February 6, 1970 at 3:00 P.M. with the following present:
