RESOLVED, that the Town Board will approve the .amount of~$15,000
bond as recommended by the~ Southold Town Planning Board and-.Town
engineer, for roads and improvements in the subdivision known as
Greenacres at Cutchogue, N.Y.

RESOLVED, that Supervisor Martocchia be and he hereby ~s authorized
to enter into a contract for the necessary sanitary facilities at
the Norman E. Klipp Marine Park, sum not to exceed $600.

Moved by Justice Demarest, seconded by Councilman Rich, it was
RESOLVED, that Supervisor Albert Martocchia be and he'hereby is
authorized to sign necessary papers for "An ACt", Senate Bill
No. 9048, to ~confer certain powers on the park commissioners of
the Southold Park Dis~rlct of Southold, and the Town Board of
such Town.

Supervisor Martocchia advised the~Board that he'appointed John
Lademahn, Anthony Blados and Matthew Martin, Chief and A~.sis~ant
Chie'fS 6f the Cutchogue Fire Department, to act as Fire'Wardens
for RoBins Island, Said appointments being made purSuant to Section
29, Subdivision 12 of the Town Law and Section 52, Subdivision 3
o£ the ConserVati0n'Law. -
Councilman James H. Rich, Jr., a member of the Board is hereby
designated as Superintendent of FireS of the Town of Southold
for the ensuing year to act in case of the absence of the
Supervi'sor.

RESOLVED, that this Town Board meet with Woodhollow Properties, Inc.
at 10:30 A.M., May 9, ~972 to discuss their s~bdivision.

W~EREAS, at its meeting on April ll, 1972, the Town Board granted
Elizabeth Ann NevilIe a leave of absence not to exceed two years
without'pay for maternity, ahd
WHEREAS, the Civil Service Department of the County Of'Suffolk
has advised ~he Town Board of the Town of Sou~hold that such aCtion
may not be approve~, now therefore befit
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of ~he Town of Southold does hereby
rescind its motion to grant two years leave'of absence to Elizabeth
Ann NeviI~, and
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Southold does hereby
grant Elizabeth Ann Neville a one (1) year leave of'absence for
maternity,- starting as of May 22~ 1972. Such employee, upon t~e
expiration of Such period Of leave of absenCe, shalT ~e ~estored
to the same or comparable position of employment if the same'-is
available.

RESOLVED, that Terri Elak, Southold, New York, be and hereby is
appointed Stenographer in the Building Department at a salary of
$5,000 per year, effective May 8', 1972.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that Terri Elak is to serve a probationary
periOd"of six months/ if required by the Civil Service Commission.

RESOLVED, that Supervisor Albert Martocchia be and he hereby is
authorized to contact the State Traffic Commission to request a
45 MPH ~peed limit on Route 27 between Lipco Road and Marys Road~
Mattituck, New York.

In the Matter of the Petition of the Owners of mor~ than one-haLf
of the Real ~ropcrty fronting on LONGVIEW LAND, RAMBLER ROA~,
PLEASANT PLACE and WATERSEDGE WAY for the improvement of said
streets ....
ORDER FOR MEETING TO CONSIDER PETITION FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS.
WHEREAS a written petition dated September 11, 1971, was heretofore
and on. April 25, 1972, d~ly filed with~ this. board pu~rsuant to
Section 200 of the Town Law.of the State of New.York for the
improvement of highways ~n said gown known as Longview Lane,
Rambler Road, Pleasant Place and Watersedge Way situate at
Bayview, in the Town of Southold, and shown and designated on
a certain map entitled "Map of Terry Waters at Bayview, Town of
Southold, Suffolk County, New York" file~ in the Suffolk County
Clerk's Office on December 29, 1958, as Map No. 2901, by the
permanent pavement of the same and the construction ~ such
~urbs, gutters, catc~h basins and drainage facilities as may be
necessary; and whereas it duly appears that such petition has
been duly signed by the owners of real estate owning at least
one-half of the entire frontage or bounds on both sides of said
highways situate between the points aforesaid and whereas it duly
appears that such petition was also duly signed by resident owners
owning not less than one-half of the frontage ~ned by resident
owners residing in or along such highwaYS; and whereas such
p~lition was duly acknowledged to proved by all the signers
thereof in the same manner as a deed to be recorded; and whereas
the maximum amount proposed to ~e expended for the improvement
of said highways as stated in the petition is the sum of
$10,500.00, ~t is, pursuant to the provisions o f said Section
200 of the Town Law of the State of New York, hereby
O~DERED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold, Suffolk
County, New York, shall meet at the Supervisor's Office, 16
South Street, Greenport, in said Town on the 23rd day of May,
197~, at 3:30 o'clock in the afternoon of that day, for the
purpose of considering the said petition and hearing all persons
interested in the subject concerning the same.

On motion~of Justice Demarest, seconded by Justice Suter,
WHEREAS, Edward S. Brush has faithfully served the Town of Southold
since August 28, ~951 as a police patrolman, and
WHEREAS, such a record of service to the Town of Southold and its
people deserves the sincere gratitude of those with whom he worked,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the ~own Board of the Town of
Southold expresses its appreciation to.Edward S. Brush for his long
record of fine service, and its best wishes for the years ahead,
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution be made a part of
the permanent records of the Town, and that a copy be sent to
