The Meetin~ of March 10, 1972
The South°~Id Town Board met at the office of Supervisor Albert M.
Martocchia, 16 South Street, Greenport, New York, at 12 Noon
on March 10, 1972, with the following present:
Supervisor Albert M. Martocchia, Councilman James
H. Rich, Jr., Councilman James F. Homan, Justice
Martin Suter, and Town Clerk Albert W. Richmond.
Absent: Justice E. Perry Edwards and Justice Lou~s
M. Demarest.
Moved by Justice Suter, seconded by Councilman Homan, it was
RESOLVED, that Michael T. Burke, Mattituck, New York, John J.
Charters III, Greenport, New York, and J~s~pkeT. Reiter,
Mattituck, New York, be and they hereby are appointed Police
Patrolment of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York
for a probationary period beginning March 25, 1972 and ending
March 25, 1973, and be it further
RESOLVED, that Michael T. Burke, John J. Charters III, and
Joseph T. Reiter will serve in the capacity of Police Patrolmen
at the pleasure of the Town Board unless otherwise provided for
by law, and be it further
RESOLVED, that the compensation during this probationary period
be fixed at $8,250.00 payable semi-monthly effective as of March
25, 19~2.
Vote of~ the Town Board: Ayes: Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman
Rich, Councilman Homan, Justice Su%er.
Moved by Justice Suter, seconded by Councilman Rich, it was
RESOLVED, that Police Chief Carl Cataldo's bill for $50.00 petty
cash be~-and hereby is ordered paid.
Vote o~f the Town Board: Ayes: Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman
Rich, Councilman Homart, JustiCe~Suter.
