Moved by Justice Suter, seconded ~y Councilman Rich, it was RESOLVED: That the Long Island Traveler, Inc., Southold, New York, a.newspaper regu~ar!y published.in-the,Town of So,~hold, which has been entered~as a second class m~i% matter, be a~nd the same is hereby designated, effective as of February~ 1~~ 1972, as the ~official paper of the Town of Southold for the publ~ication of all notices, resolutions, ordinances and other matter required to be published, and it is further RESOLVED: That-the Suffolk Weekly Times, Gre,enpor~;-~Ne~,¥ork, a newspaper, be des~gnated as an additional newspaper for ,the publication of such notices, resolutions and ordinances. Moved by Justice Demarest, ~.seconded by Justice Sute~, it was RESOLVED: That any Town official elected or appointed who is requi~ed to use his own automobile in the performance of duty be compensated for travel expenses necessarily and actually incurred in carrying out the duties of his office, at a rate ~t to exceed twelve ($.12) cents per mile. Martocchia be designated t? represent the Town.of Southold at the annual meeting of the Association of Towns .of the State of New York. to be held in New York City February 7, 8, 9, 1972, and to cast the vote of the .aforesaid Town pursuant to Section 6 of Arti~cle III of the Cpnstitution and byr~a~s ~f salad Associa~tio% and ~e it further RESOLVED: That Justice Suter be designated to act as alternate to cas~ the vote of said Town at the annual meeting of the Associatioh .of Towns in the absence of. Supervisor Martocchia. Martocchia appointed Justice Louis Demarest to act as Deputy Supervisor, in his absence, for the period beginning January 1, 1972 to December 31, ~972, with compensation. Supervisor Albert M. Martocchia appointed William Sbhreiver as Deputy Civil Defense Coordinator for the Town of Southold, to serve in such sapacity without compensatinn.
