Post %803, Southold, N.Y. applied ~to the Town clerk for a .Bingo License..Amendment,~ WHEREAS, the Town Board has examined the application~ and after, invest- igation duly made findings and determinations as required by law, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Supervisor be and he hereby is authorized a~d directed to execute .on'behalf of the B~ard the find- ings and determinations requir, ed by law and it is further RESOLVED: That the Town clerk be and he hereby~ is directed to ~iSsue an amended' ~Bingo License to the Southold American~ Legion G.T.G. Moved by COuncilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Clark; WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of this Board adopted on the 8th.lday of December, 1964,~ the~Board of_Commissioners of the Fishers Island . Ferry District~a~vertised for sealed bids for-the operation.of the motor vessel,. Mystic. Isle, for a term of three (3) years, commencing on January 1, 1965, which bids were to be s~bmitted to said Commissi~n- ers not later than 1:45 P~ .M. on December 29, 1964, and WHEREAS, there were submitted to .the Board~of Commissioners tw0~bid~, to wit, a bid of Alden'DeWolflat a price of $6,595.~0 per month for-the operation of .the Mystic-Isle, and the bid or.Alfred Bicknel~ at a price of $7,425,.~ per month for 'the operation Of said vessel, Which said~ bids have been submitted. ~to this Board, and . WHEREAS, the said Alden DeWolf has stated to the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners~_of .the Fishers Island Ferry District 'that~ if the cont- ract is awarded to him, he does not propose to.devote his'entire time to the performance of this agreement, and further, the said Alden DeWolf, after closer examination of the proposed contract, stated that-~.'there- were several obligations to be'. performed, by him which he had-neglected to take into consideration in submitting said bid, and therfore wiShe~ his bid price to be increased in the amount~of $500.00, and - WHEREAS, the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Fishers Is- land Ferry District advised_the said Alden DeWolf that his bid could not ~e altered, and also. that the Commissioners do not wish to permit the successful bidder to engage in other employment, and the said Alden DeWolf thereupon stated to said Chairman and Wilfred Sinclair, the manager of said District, that he wished to withdraw said bid, and WHEREAS, this Board, in view of the foregoing, deems it in the best interest that the contract for the operation of the Mystic Isle for a term of three (3) years, commencing on January 1, 1965, be awarded to Alfred Bicknell for the sum of $7,425.00 per month during the term there- of, now, therefore, be it RESOLVED: That the Board of Commissioners of the Fishers Is]a nd Ferry District be and they hereby are authorized ~-nd directed to accept the bid of Alfred Bicknell for the sum of $7,425.00 per month for the term of three (3) years, commencing on January 1, 1965, and it is further RESOLVED: That the Board of Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District be and they hereby are authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the said Alfred Bicknell in accordance with the bid submitted by the said Alfred Bi=knell, and in accordance with all of the tea-ms and conditions set forth in the notice to bidders and the terms of the proposed fore.of contract heretofore approved by this Board. Moved-by~.Justice clark; seconded by Councilman Valentine; _RESOLVED: That Walter Griffin, J~. be engaged ~nder contract tO vide a mail transfer and haulage for the Fishers Island Ferry District for a period from January 1, 1965 through December31, 1965 in~c~sive, in accordance with the terms ~and conditi~ms of the 'contract s~bmit~ed by the Board of Commissioners~ a~d be it further RESOLVED: That the effective date of such service shall be January 1, 1965 and .the amount or.compensation for smch service shall be $t15~80 per month, i payable monthly.
