Section 1. The Town of Southold, in the County of Suffolk,
New York, hereby authorizes the acquisition by purchase of the certain

Section 2. Pursuant to the Provisions'of the Local Finance
Law, constituting Chapter 33-a of the'Consolidated Laws 'of t~he State
of New York, 'serial bonds of the-Town- of Southold, in the principa1
amount Of $44,08~ are hereby authorized 'to beissued to fina~nce 'said
appr opr iat ion. -
-' Section ~3. The following additional matters are hereby
determined and stated: (a) The period ~of probable usefulness of the
specific object or purpose for which the bonds a~thorized by this
resolution are to be' issued, within the limitation of S.~-11.~8 a.
2i of~ said Local Finance Law,-is thirty (3~) years, b~t the maturity
of' the bo~ds he~ei~ authorized~will not exceed f~ve ~.(5) years.
(b) '-Pursuant to the ~provisions of S. 107.~8 d. 4 of-said
Local Finance Law, current funds are not required to be-provided asa
down payment pri°r to the issuance of the bonds herein authorized or,
of any notes issued in anticipation of the-sale of such-bonds.

Section 4. Each of the serial bonds authorize~ b~ this
Southold, payable as to bot~ principal and interest by a~ general tax
upon all the taxable prOPerty-within the' Town without iimitaticn of'rate
or amount. The faith and credit .of the Town are hereby irrevoca~l~ P~edged
to the pu~cual payment of the principal Qf and the 'interest on .maid bonds
and pr~vision$shall be made annually i~ the budget of the Town by approp-
riation for (a) the amortization and redemDtion of the b~nds to mature
in each year and (b) the payment Of interest to be due and~Payable in
each year. ~
Section 5. Subject Go the provisions of this resolution
and pursuant to S. 30.00 relative'~to the authorization of the issuance
of bond anticipation notes and of S. 50.00 and S.S. 56.0~..to 60.~ of
said Local Finance Law, "the powers and duties of the Town Board relati=e
to authorizing bond anticipation notes and prescribing t.he terms, form
and contents and as to the sale and issuance of the serial bonds author-
ized by this resolution and of any notes authorized to be issued in ant~-
_cipation of said bonds, are hereby delegate~ to the supervisor, the chief

WHEREAS, the Fishers Island Ferry District presently is under contract
with Alfred Bicknell for the operation of the motor vessel, Mystic
Isle, which said contract terminates on December, 31, 1964, and
WMRREAS, the Fishers Island Ferry District desires to advertise for
bids and enter into a contract with a successful bidder for the oper-
ation of said vessel for a term of three (3) years, commencing on
January 1, 196~, and
WHEREAS, the Fishers Island Ferry District has prepared a proposed
form of contract for the operation of said vessel for the period
from January 1, 1965 to December 31, 1967, and has submitted the same
to this Board, and
WHEREAS, this BOard has examined said form of contract and app.=oyes
of all of the terms and conditions contained~therein, ~
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Commissign~s..~_of
the Fishers Island Ferry District be and~t~he~y hereby are author!zed
and~.directed to advertis~ for sealed bids for the operation_-of,~!~the
