Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Councilman Demarest; WHEREAS, Carl and Ethel Besch and others by petition verified the 9th day of July, 1963, petitioned the Town BOard for a change of zone of certain real property described in said petition from "A" Resident- ial and Agricultural District to "B" Business District, and WHEREAS, the said petition was referred to the Planning B~d for its official recommendation ~nd report, an~ WHEREAS, the Town Board pursuant to due notice thereof held a hearing thereon on the 28th day of J~nuary, 1964 at which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Sonthold Town Building Zone Ordinance, including the Building Zone Maps, be amended from "A" Residential and AGricultural D/strict to "B" Business District on the following described property: ALL~that~certain ~tract or parce!~.0f land _situated at Mattituck, in the Town of Southold, Suffol~ C~n~ty, New York, and more par,tiC~.~larl~ bounded .and~ described .as follows: .... ~EGIN~ING~' at a point ~on the northerly line of the Main ~oad (New York~25) at the intersection or.said northerly line with the easterly l~e~of,~&i33 foot private road,leading northerly to La~rel Lake; said point of beginning being the southwesterly corner of land now or formerly of Matson; from said point of beginning running northerly along ,said easterly line of said private~road 152 feet, more or less, to land.of the. Councilman Valentine introduced Local Law Intro. No. 3 of the Year 1964 entitled "A Local Law in relation to the Term of Office of Superinten- dent of Highways, Town Clerk and Receiver of Taxes." Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Councilman Demarest; BE ITENACTED by the TOWnBoard of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York as follows: SECTION I. The term of office of the Superintendent of Highways, the T~n Clerk and the Receiver of Ta~ssshall be fgur years. $~TION II. Any of the town officers mentioned in section one hereof ele~ted~at a biennial town election held after this local law takes effect shall hold office for a term of four years commencing on the first day of January next succeeding such election, except that the receiver of taxes shall hold office for a term of four years commencing ~n the first day of December next succeeding such election. SECTION III. This local law shall supersede section twenty-~ur of chapter six hundred thirty-four of the laws of nineteen hundred thirty-~o¥ an act relating to towns, constituting chapter sixty-two of the consolidated laws, as amended, and section sixteen of chapter three hundred eleven of the- laws' of n~nteen hindred twenty, '.insofar as it is-inconSistent~ with such sections, ~ - ~'~ SECTION IV. A proposition for the approval of this :lQ~,al law shll be submitted to the electors of the town of Southold at the general election to be held, .in November, nineteen ~hundred~ sixty~four~ and this local iaw shall .become operative only if approved :by the ~ affirmative-v~te of a majority of the.qualified electors vQt-ingcupom.~- such proPOsition. :~ - -~ ' .....
