Albertson at Greenport, N.Y. on 'Tmesday, February 18, 1964.-~The meeting was called to order a~:3:00 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Albertson; Councilman Demarest and valentine~ Justices Tuthill and Clark; ToWn Attorney Tasker; Supt. of Highways Price and 'Town clerk Richmond. Move~by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Clark= RESOLVED: That the minutes of February '4, 1964, be and they herebY are approved. Moved by councilman Valentine; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That the next monthly meeting of'this Board wili-be heid~at the office of S~pervisor Lester M. Albertson, 16 South Street, Green- port, N.Y. on Tuesday, March,lO, 1964 at 3:00 P.M; Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Smpervisor Albertson; CouncitmenDemarest and Va'lentine; Justices Tuthill and-Clark, At 3:00' P;M; the Public Hearing was opened by the-Supervisor on the , proposal'~f Local Law 91 of the Town of Southold. The minutes of this hearing were recorded by Judith Boken. Moved by Justice clark; seconded by councilman Demarest; RESOLVED= That s~ervisor Lester M.-.Alberts~abeaad he herebyis auth- orized to advertise the supervisor's Report in the Suffolk Times as well as the Southold Traveler-~attituck watchman. vote of Town Board:'Ayes-Supervisor Albertson~ Councilmen Demares~ and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. ' Moved'by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Justice Clazk; - RESOLVED: That the Southold Town Board a~ree~that it is ~n the-best interest of the people of the Town-to participate in a "Section 751 Plan" jointly with the village' of Greenport and hereby expresses it's policy and interest to join and cooperate in said venture and to raise and appropriate the necessary funds therefor. Vote of Town B~ard: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; cOuncilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That su~ervis°r Lester M. Albertson he and he hereby is auth- orized to complete and sign the Civil Service referral slip relative to the Building Inspector of the Town of Southold. Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Councilman Valentine; WHEREAS, THE Town Board did on the 28th day of January, 1964 authorize the S~pt. of Highways to advertise for bids and to purchase from the lowest responsible bidder one 1963 Chevrolet Carr~f-All or equal, and WHEREAS, at the time ~he bids were opened there were no bids for the pmAchase of a 1963 carry-All, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED= That the Supt. of Highways of the Town of So~thold be authorized to advertise for bids and to pur,chase from the lowest responsible bidderaa 1962 Chevrolet Carry-All or equal carry-All must have twelve volt system and not have been~riven more than twenty-five thousand miles. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervis°r Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. MOVed by Justice'Clark; s~conded by Councilman Valentine; WHEREAS, the contingent F~nd in the Annual Budget for.the current year ' is $10,000, and WHEREAS, of such s~m 9ppropriated, $1~,000 remains unexpended to date, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That $7978.34 of said unexpended balance be and the same is transferred to Parks and Beaches and that the amount heretofore appropriated for said purpose be and the same hereby is increased in the amount mentioned. Two (2) on a certain, map entitled "Map of Peconic Shores" located at Peconic, Long,Island, PDpperty of William,B.!.~ ~odling, surveyed September 1922 by.J~ W. Wells C. E. and~filed in the Suffolk County Clerk's Office on August 5, 1924 under '~le No. 117,. together with the' beach, waters and lands under water~i~ front of- and abutting s&kd premises, owned presently' by - Jalal Elaki,~- for a sum of ~?, 978.34. Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Justice Clark; RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to request the Long~Island Lighting Company to install ~ne (1) 480MV light on Pole 991~ (N.Y.T.CO.). i~ the Greenport Light District, near the new Lutheran Church, Main Road, Greenport, N.Y. Moved bY Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Demarest; WHEREAS, theprQposed Local Lawn,No. 1 - Year 1964 was heretofore introduced by Councilman Demarest and pursuant to a resolution, Public hearing was held on ~he matter of the adoption of the fOllowin~ local, law on F~bruary 18, 1964, at 3:00 P.M. in the SuperviSor'S Office, 16 south Street, Greenport, New York,. at which time a~ interested persoms-w~re given an opportunity to be heard, and WHEREAS~ this Board deems it in the best interest that the following loca~.~wbe~enacted: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED that the following local ~aw.be?nacted~owN OF SOUTHOLD . ~. LOCAL LAW NO. 1 - YEAR 1964 A local law providing for public notices relating to adoption of local laws. Be it enacted by t~he Town Board of the Tow~ .of Southold as follows: - SECTION %. No local law shall be adopted.by.the Town Board of the Town of Somthold until a public~ hearing has been held thereon inits final form before.~su=h Town Board not less than three nor more than thirty day~a~er public notice has been given of the time and place of the holding' of such public hearing, Such notice ~all be given by the Town Clerk by causing the same to be published once in the official newspaper of the town. -Such notice shall contain~the title of the proposed local law and a brief explanatory statement thereof. 2. The Town Clerk s~all cause to be printed or otherwise reproduced copies of such proposed local law and shall, not later than the day such notice is published, post one such copy together with the notice of hearing on the sign-board at his office and shall also make co_Dies of Such proposed local law available at his office for inspection by and distribution to any interested person during business hours. 292 3.
