District, on certain property on Fishers Island, N.Y.,
NOW; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That a public hearing will be held bY
t~e soUthdld Town Board at American Legion. Hall, Fishers Is~md, New York,
at 2~0 P.M. on November~14, 1963, on the above mentioned petition and
that the Town Clerk be andhe hereby is~authorized and directed to cause
a notice Of said hearing ~o be published in the Suffolk Times, pursuant
to the requirements of law.

being more fully described in said petition, together with releases. ~ ·

WHEREAS, the Highway. Superintendent has inspected said highways,~ and has~-
advised the Town Board that said proposed highways comply in all ~espe~cts
to the specifications for the dedication of highways in the Town of

An, agr:eer~nt has been made between the Southold Methodist Church an~
the~-~T~n of~.Sout~old for the use of the church's parking lot by the
general ~lic.
.Consider-atiio~ is being given to the possibility of locating a Marine -
Research Laboratory on Fishers Island, and a communication was read
f~m the Fishers Is]an~d~ Civic Association expressing their support
for SUch a project.
supervisor ~Albertson noted that he has been advised that the contract
has been awarded for the three hundred foot erosion control jetty to
be constructed at~ Goldsmith ' s Inlet, in Peconic, New York.
A petition With approzimately sixty signatures was received from the
MarratoOka!iPark District opposing the placement of trailers in that
areal~ A similar letter was received from the Deep Hole property Ownere
AssoCiation, State Legislat~n necessary to make this possiblewas
requested at the last session, and will again be requested at the
nemt session of the legislation.
