Southold, Suffolk County, New York, do hereby severally waive notice
of the time, Place, and purpose of the meeting of .the Town Board to
be held at Greenport, in the Town of Southold, New York, on Monday,
July 1, 1963~ and do hereby consent that the ~ame be held on said

The~ Southold Town Board met at the office of. Supervisgr LeSter M.
Albertson, 16 South Street, Greenport, N.Y. on July 1, 1963. The special
meeti~ng was calted to order at 2:30 P.M. with the. foll0wi~g~ present'.

WHEREAS, caroleeTa~lor has applied, to the Town Board for a single
trailer permit by application dated July 1, 1963,
NOW, THEREFORm., BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of Carolee
Taylor to locate a single trailer on land of Frederick and Carolee
Taylor s/s Westphalia Ave., Mattituck, N.Y. be and hereby is granted
for occupancy for a period of Five (5) months.

The SOuthol~ Town Board met at t~e office of Supervisor Lester M,
Albertson, ~16 South Street, Greenport, N.Y. on J ly 9, 1963, The
meeting was called to order at 3:00 P.M. with th~ following present:
Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justices
Tuthill andClark and Edwards; Supt. of Highways Price; Town Attorney
Tasker and Town clerk Richmond.

RESOLVED:~-That 'the minutes of June 18, 1963 and the Special Meeting of
July 1, 1963 be and they are hereby duly~approved.

WHEREAS, Fishers Island Ferry District Commissioners request the approval
of hiring Clarence Dixon, LeRoy Carney and Thomas Murphy as extra summer
labor to the FiShers Island FerFy District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Southold Town Board a~rove~
the action of the Fishers Island Ferry District Commissioners in the
hiring of.T:Clarence Dixon, LeRoy Carney and ThOmas Murphy as extra summer

Planning Board for its advice and reco~,,~endation, -~' ~'~'
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Board of the-'Town ~o~
Southold does hereby establish an Open Development Area over the prop-
erty of Julius Zebroski as shown on the map attached to the-apPlicati0n,

Town of Southold under the same lease and conditions as the:previous

Mr. john'~j~zenia ahd. Donald Roach reviewed some of the traffic problems
in the Silgermere DevelOpment, Greenport, N.Y.
Mr. 'Callahan from Captain Kidd Estates, Mattituck, N.'Y. desCribed the
par~ing COnditions in.that area. The Board will investigate the situation.
A resident from the Crescent Beach Colony, Greenport, N.Y. appeared
to protest~ the reckless conduct of boats and bathers in ~the. ~ull Pond Area
A delegation was present from the Mill Creek area, Southold, N.Y. in-
quiring as to the building 'plans of a property owner, abutting Route 27.

A letter was received from the Southold Post Veteran~ of~ Foreign Wars
thanking the Town for the installationof sidewal~s..Mrs. FrancesGlander
wrote thanking police, for-theircooperation in curbing speeding,on New
SuffolkAve., and a letter was read from Richard Wilbergcommending
Patrolman Boken and Sgt. Winters for their efficient work in p~eFen~ing
an attempted crime.
A certificate of approval was received from Suffolk Cozmty Health
following ,their inspections of ou= Town Beaches~ Southold, ~N~Y~ -~
A petition originating in the Mattituck Cutchogue area. and be.a~.,~g ~33
signatures was received requesting the Board to ~onsider adopt.ing,~an~
ordinance to require the planting of a cover ~crop at a certain~ ~'&~e~ in
the fall. This was turned over to the Town Attorney for a legal opinion.
