MEETING OF JUNE 5, 1963
WAIVER
WE, the-undersigned, being members of the Towm Board of the Town of
Southold,~:Suffolk County, New York, do hereby severally waive notice
of the~time, place and purpose of the meeting of the Town Board to be
held at Greenport, in the Town of Southold, New York,.on Wednesday,
June 5, 1963, and do hereby consent that the same be held on said date
for the transaction of any business which may properly come before the
said meeting. Dated: June 5, 1963. Southold, New. York.

A special meeting of the Southold-Town~Board was held at the. Supervisor's
Office, 16 South Street, Greenport, New York, on wednesday, June.~5, 1963,
the members of the Board having waivednotice of thei~time, place and
purpose of the meeting. The meeting was called to order by the .Supervisor.
Lester M. Albertson, at 8:30 P.M. with the foll~ preset: Supervisor
Albertson~ councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justices Tuthill and~Clark;
Town Clerk Richmond~
Moved,by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Tuthill:
WHEREAS, Long Island CablevisionsCorporation of Southold, a domestic
corporation with offices at Greenport, New York and Patchogue, New York,
has applied:%o the ToWn Board for a franchise per~ssion or consent to
use the streets, highways and public places in the Town of Southold
for the purpose of transmitting and distributing television impulses by
coaxial cable, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing ~as held a t the Uillage~Hall, Greenport, N.Y.
at 7:30 P.M. on June 5, 1963 atwhich time' all interested persons were
given an opportunity to be heard,
NOW,.'THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Supervisor Lester M. Albertso~
be a~d he hereby is authorized to inform the Long Island cablevision
Corporation that ,it is the unanimous feeling of the members of the
Southold Town Board that such an insulation would be in the best interest
of the people of the Town of Southold and that the Board would be willing
to grant such,a franchise when the proper terms and conditions can be
decided upon.'
