WE, the undersigned, being members of the Town Board of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County,'New York, do hereby severally waive notice of the time, place and purpoae of the meeting of the Town Board to be held at Greenport, in the Town of Southold, New York, on Tuesday,- May 21, 1963, and do hereby consent that the same be held on said date for the transaction of any business which may properly come before said meeting. Richmond, Town Clerk A special meeting of the Southold Town Board was held at the Superv~sor's Office, 16 South Street, Greenport, New 'fork, on Tuesday, May 21, 1963, the me,bets-of theBoard having waived notice of the time, place and purpose of the meeting. The meeting was called to order by the SUper- visor, Lester M. Albertson, at 1:30 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justices ~thilt and clark~ Town Attorney Tasker and Town Clerk Richmond. M0ve~by COunCilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Tuthill: W~W~REAS, Long Island Cablevision Corporation of Southold, a domestic corporation with offices at Greenport, New York, and Patchogue, New York, hasapplied to the Town Board for a franchise, permission or consent to use the streets, highways and public places in the Town of Southold for the purpose of transmitting and distributing television impulses by coaXial cable, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVR~: That a public hearing be held by the Town Board on the 5th day of June, 1963, at 7:30 P.M. in the Superv~sor's Office, 16 South Street, Greenport, New York, on the matter of the granting of such franchise, and be it further ~ESOLVED, That 1the Town Clerk be and hereby is authorized to cause notice of such.hearing to'be published in the official Town Newspaper at 1east ten .days before said hearing. vote of TOWn Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; COuncilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; 'Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by councilman Demarest; seconded by councilman Grathwohl; RESOLVED: That Supervisor Lester M. Albertson be and he hereby is authorized to enter into an option with Walter Lahman and wife, Mill Lane, Peconic, ~eW York, for property on Long Island Sound and Peconic Inlet channel and to execute said option thereof. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Justice Clark; WHEREAS, this Board has been apprised of several instances where buildings have~een erected closer to property lines than permissible by-the Z~ning Ordinance due to err°r of owner and/or builder in determ- ining thel:~location of property lines, and WHEREAS, ~the Board of Appeals of the Town Of Southold has recoma%ended that ~heB~ildlmg Inspector be authorized to require the owner to ascertain the exact location of such property linesbya licensed where there is doubt as to the location of such property lines, now therefore, be it RESO~VED.~that Inspector be and he hereby is.autho~ed to require '-appli, for building permits to submit a plot plan prepared by a licensed surveyor in such cases where there is a ~uestion in the mind of the Building Inspector as to whether or not the proposed structure will be located the rem/mired distance from the property lineS.
