present: Supervisor Albertson; council~n Demarest and Grathw~l; Justices
Tuthill and Clark; Town Attorney Tasker; Supt. of Highways Pr~ice and
Town Clerk Richmond.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Grathwohl;
RESOLVED: That the minutes of the meeting of March 26, 1.963 ~e
hereby are duly approved.

bidder One (1) new 1963 International Dump Truck Mo~el R-192 complete
with one new Gar-Wood Model GC 2-4 yard dump body with Mo~et A-50-10
Ton HO'ISt~or e~ual, specifications of which may be obtained at the
office of the Supt. of Highways, Peconic, New, York, One 1954 Inter-
national~ Dump Truck must be taken in trade as part payment on new
truck. ' ~ ~

At 3:3OP.M. in accordance with notice published according to law,
bids~wereopened for proposals to furnish to the Town of Southold

tracto= with one cubic yard hydraulic bucket loader.

THE TOWN OF SOUTHOLD, SUFFOLK COUNTY, NEW YORK,
~UTHORIZING THE CONDUCT 0P BINGO BY CERTkIN
ORGANIZATIONS FOR CERTAIN PURPOSES IN SUCH TOWN,
SEETION I.
purPOse~ ~The' purpose of this ordi~nance is to amendL an ordinance adopted
by the Town~Board ~f the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York,
dated July 28, 1958, authorizing the conduct of Bingo in such town to
change the reference in such ordinance fDDm Article 14-G of the General
Mun.£c:ipaI.~:Law to Article 14-H of the General/Law, ~s so renumbered by
the. Laws of, 1962, and to set forth therein the following
&d~] and remembered restrictions concerning the conduct
of .~an authorized organization in such Town, as
ilSectiOn 479.~of .the General Municipal Law of the State of
New ~amended by Chapter 438 of the Laws of 1962:
BE I~T RESOLVED AND ORDAINED: that it shall be lawful for an~ authorized
organ~zation, as defined in Section 4,76 of Article 14-H of the General
Municipal Law, upon obtaining the required license, to conduct the
game Of: Bingo within the terr/korial limits of the Town of Southold,
subject to the provisions of this ordinance, Article, 14-H of the General
MuniCipal Law and Article 19-B of the Executive Law, and the following
r e str ict ion s:
1. No person, firm, association, corporation or organization o~her
than a licensee under the provisions of Article 14-~ of the General
Municipal Law, shall conduct such game or shall lease or otherwise make
available for conducting Bingo a hall .or other premises for any consid-
eration whatsoever, direct or indirect.
' 2 .'No ~Bingo games ?shall be ~held, operated or conducted on or
w.ithin ~-any,~'eased Premises if rentals?under such lease is. to be paid,
wholly or partly, on the basis of a p~cent~age of the receipts or net
profit~s derived from the operation of such game.
3. No authorized organization licensed under the provisions
of Article 14-H of the General Municipal Law shall purc/~_ase or receive
any supplies or equipment specifically designed or 'adapted .for use in
the conduct .of Bingo games from other than a supplier ~icensed under
the Bingo COntrol Law or from another authorized organization.
4. The entire net proceeds of ~ny game of Bingo and of. any rental
sh~'~.-~ex~lUSively devoted to the lawful purposes of the organization
per~d.~to conduct t~e same.
.>5. No prize shall exceed the sum or value of two hundred fifty
do~ar-s'in any single game of Bingo.
6. No series of prizes on any one Bingo occasion shall aggreg-
a=e more than one thousand dollars.
7. No person except a bona fide member of any such organization
Shall participate in the management or operation of such game~
8. No person shall receive any remuneration for ~rticipati~
in the management or operation of any game of Bingo.
9. The-unauthorized conduct of a Bingo game and any Willful
violation of any provisions of this ordinance shall cons~i~te and be
punishable as a misdemeanor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and hehereby is author-
ized and directed to cause notice of said.amendment to be posted and
published pursuant to law.
