The week of February 11, 1963 being Boy Scout Week, ~ive Boy Scou~s of the Town of Southold acted as officers in the various departments of the Town. Their purpose was to acquire some knowledge of how the Town Government is conducted. The Boys spent the morning in the various offices and at noon they were taken out to lunch after which they attended the Town Board meeting. Supervisor Albertson had them conduct part of'the meeting, each one representing a member of the Town Board. The bo~s thanked the Town Board for their day of experience in office and said they had learned a great deal about the government of the Town. The Boy Scouts included Thomas Dixon of Cutchogue, David Corwin of Greenport, Daniel Thompson of Southold, Dennis Haeg of Mattituck and Fernando Jiminez of Orient. The Southold Town BOard met at the office of supervisor Lester M. AlbertS0nat Greenport, on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 1963. The meeting was called to order at 3:00 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; JuStices Tuthill and Clark; T~n Attorney Tasker and Town Clerk Richmond. Miss zina ChUgin appeared before-the Board to complain about thee road r~ the Highway Department causing the. water to run on her said that he and the Highway Superintendent would investigate the situation.
