The meeting of the SOuthold Town BOard was held at the office of the
~apervisor, Lester M. Albertson, at Greenport, New york, on Tuesday,
November 11, 1962. The meeting was calledtto order at 3:00' P.M. with the
fo~loWingpresent: Supervisor~AlbertS°~; coun=ilmen Demarestand Grath-
wohl; Justices Tuthill and Clark; Superintendent-lof Highways Price; Town
Attorney Tasker and Town clerk Richmond.
Moved by.Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Demarest;
RESOLVED~. That the regular monthlymeeting of the Town Board will be
held at the Town supervisor's Office, 16 South Street, Greenport, New York,
on~Tuesday,-November 27, 1962 at 3:00 P.M.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen.Demarest and
Grathwohl;,'justices Tuthill and Clark.
Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Clark;
WHEREAS, the County of Suffolk proposes to.dredge certain areas of Mill
Creek in the Town Of Southold, which dredging will be performed by the
County of Suffolk at a nominal cost to the Town of Southold, and
WHEREAS, in order to accomplish said dredging, plmns, specifications and
agreements and other documents must be executed on behalf o~ the Town
of Southold~
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Supervisor be and he hereby is
autl%orized'to execute, on behalf, of the Town of'Southold, all necessary
plans and specifications, spoil area agreements, assurances to the County
of Suffolk, license and/or dredging permit application to.Federal and State
Agsncies and all other documents that may be required to accomplish said
dredging work.

ASSURANCES FOR DREDGING OF MILL CREEK
TO, tN OF SOUTHOLD, NEW YORK
WHEREAS, t~he Town of Southold has requested the County of Suffolk to dredge
Mili.~'creek, Town of Southold, and the channel thereto, and
WHEREAS~~ the-county of Suffolk proposes to do said dredging ih accordance
with the accompanying map and specifications, and
WHEREAS, the Supervisor of the Town of Southold by resolution duly adopted
by the Town Board of said Town of Southold has been authorized and direct-
ed to sign for and on"b~half of the Town of Southold assurances to the
County of Suffolk, that the said Town of Southold will perform all acts
required to be performed by said Town in connection with the preparation
for the dredging operation as aforesaid and obtaining of all necessary
easements and rights of way for said dredging operation and use of areaa
indicated on the attached map for spoil areas together with all necessary
rights incidental to said dredging operation.
NOW, THEREFORE, ~ ~nsideration of the benefits to the Town of-Southotd,
~'as aforesaid, the TownofS6~thotd ~hereby assures the .County of,Suffolk
(a) Furnish, free of' to the County of Suffolk, all lands, ease-
ments,-'~ights of-wayand -'disposal areas necessary for the new work
-~.and';sub~equent maintenance and if required for the dredging operations
at~ Mill Creek, all as shown on the attached map, and
(b) Hold and save.the Co~ty of Suffolk free from any claims or
damages resulting from said i~rovement orresulting in any way fDom the
said dredging or~ the use of

Ferry District in. hiring .John Pickett- as Clerk to the Fishers Island
Ferry District,.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That John Pickett be hired-as?clerk?to
the Fishers Island Ferry District as of November 13, 1962.

the Town Board for financial assistance in dredging the entrance of
Wickham Creek, a town waterway, Cutchogue,. New York,

RESOLVED: That the Town Board of the Town of ,outhold does hereby adopt
such preliminary budget as originally compiled, as the annua~l~bu~dget
of this Town for the fiscal, year beginning on the 1st day :of .January,
1962, and that such budget as so adopted be entered in ~etai!: in,~.the
minutes of the proceedings of this Town Board, and be it further
RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the Town .of Southold shall prepare
