Alber~son at Greenport, on Tuesday, Pebruary 6, 1962 at 3:00 P.M. with the F011©wing present: Supervisor Albertson; COUncilmen Demarest and Grathwoht; Justices Tuhill and Clark; Supt. of Highways Price; Town Attor- ney Tasker and Town clerk Richmond. Albertson be and he hereby is author- ized and directed to advertise for bids for proposals to furnish shbrt coats to the Southold Town Auxiliary Police. Albertson be and he hereby is author- ized to pnr~chase and have installed a chain link fence across the south side of the Southold Town Dump. Florence Kramer of Southold, N.Y. to the Position of Town Historian. This position became vacant due to the death of our former Historian,. Wayland Jefferson. The .Supervisor was directed ~y the Board ~ transmit the request~'6f Mrs. Mallory of New Suffolk, N.Y. for a spe~d limit on New Suffolk Lane f~om Grathwohl Road to New Suffolk Avenue, to the County Supt. of Highways and the State Traffic Commission. The Supervisor was directed to write to Matthews and Ostrander regarding their request for quitclaim deed on Fishers Island and informing them that inasmuch as we do not have title to the property concerned, we are not in'a position to comply with their 'request. It was decided by tilde Town Board to ho~ a joint meeting with the Planning Board and the Board of Appeals on February 26, 1962 at 7:30 P.M. at the Town clerk's Office, $outhold, N.Y. A letter'was received from the state Traffic commission denying the request for a speed limit on Depot Lane, Cutd%ogue, N.Y. Supervisor Lester M. Albertson advised the Board that he appointed Curtis William Horton as Fire Warden for RObins Island and that he had also appointed Leander Glover, Jr. and Frank B. Rogers, Jr. as Fire wardens to act in the absence of said curtis William Horton~ said appointments.being made pursuant to Section 29 Subdivision 12 of the Town Law.~and Section 52 Subdivision 3 of-the Conservation Law. Corwin G~ GrathWohl, a member of the Board, is hereby designated as Super~' tendent ~f Fires of the Town of Southold for the ensuing year, to act in case of the absence of the Supervisor.
