It was decided to,find out how the people felt about a light district whichlwould include~all land between Mill Creek and East Marion Light District. Adjournment was at 6:25 P.Mi Albert W. WAIVER OF NOTICE OF TOWN BOARD MEETING We, the undersigned, being members of the Town Board of the Town of-~ Southold, Suffolk County, New York, do hereby severally waive notice of the time, place and purpose of the meeting of the Town Board to be held at Greenport, in-the town of Southold, New York, on-~hida~Ja~ary 19, 1962, and do hereby consent that the same be held on said ~-at~ for the transaction of any business which may properly come before this meeting. Tuthi!l, Justice' Henry A, Clark, Justice Albert W~ Richmond, Town clerk A ppecial meeting of the Southold Town Board was held at the Supervisor's Office, 16 South Street, Greenport, N.Y. the members of the Board having waived notice of the time, place and purpose of the meeting. The meeting was called to order by the Supervisor at 9:00 A.M. with the following present: Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwoht; Justices Tuthill and Clark; Town Attorney Tasker and Town Clerk Richmond. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: WHEREAS, the accounts of Supervisor Lester M. Albertson were audited and the annual report was filed, NC~~, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That such annual statement of Supervisor Lester M. Albertson be ~ntered in detail in the minutes of this meeting by the Town Clerk as required by Section 105 ofthe Town Law. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-E~uncilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justices Tuthill and Clark. (Report follows mi~ of meeting} ~ · Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Clark; WHEreAS, the Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District wish advertise for bids and contract to furnish labor and material to erect sheet pile bulkhead at the New London Terminal at the Fishers Island Ferry District, located at the foot of State Street, New London, Conn. and to replace one pile of the five (5) pile delphi~, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Sou~hold Town Board approves of the action of the Commissioners Of the Fishers Island Ferry District. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albert~on ; Councilmen Demaresf and Grathwohl; Justices Tuthil~l and Clark. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Councilman Demarest: (The following resolution was introd~uced by the 'chairman and adOpted ~y the unanimous affirmative vote of the Board of Commissioners of ~he Fishers Island Ferry District) ~HEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District had drawn up a contract for the operation of the Mystic Isle for the~period Jan. 1, 1962 through December 31,1962, and WHEREAS, the~Board of Commissioners have advertised for bids for said operation and have received two bids, and WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Southold has brought to the attention of the Board of Commissioners the fact that subject contract should have been presented to the Town Board for approval prior to bids being sought, and W~HEREAS, on the basis of this the contract and tlm actions of the Board of commissioners have been nullified by the Town Board, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Co~tissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District do hereby petition the Town Board of the To~n of Southold for authority to operate the M/V Mystic Isle on ~he basis of the contract with Alfred S. Bicknell, of Mystic, Conn., which expired on December 31, 1961 until such time as the proposed contract can be approved by the Town Board of the Town of $outhold and bids for the operation of the M/V Mystic Isle can be re-advertised. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Southold Town Board approves of the action of the Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Clark; RESOLVED: That Fishers Island Ferry District bill in the amount of $2994.80 he and the same is hereby ordered paid. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; councilmen Demarest and Gra~hwohl; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Movedby Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Tu~hill: WHEREAS, Alberta,S. Richmond, Town clerk~, has appointed _~rs. Dorothy B. Edwards as Deputy Town Clerk of Fishers Island, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board approVes the action of the Town Clerk, and be it further RESOLVED: That Mrs. Dorothy B. Edwards, Deputy Town Clerk, shall have such power and shall perform such duties as the Town Clerk. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justices Tuthill and clark. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That Supervisor Lester M. Albertson be and he hereby is authorized to advertise the Supervisor's Report in the Southold Traveler-Mattituck Watchman as well as the Suffolk Times. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justices Tuthill and Clark. A letter was received from Patrick Gorman, Cutchogue, N.Y. advising the TOwn of cans and papers discarded along the highway, alsG thanking them for the extra street lights on Depot Lane, Cutchogue, N.Y.
