The meeting was calledt~ order at 3:00 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Lester Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justices Tuthill and Clark; Supt. of Highways Price; Town Attorney Tasker and Town Cl~rk Richmond. Moved by Justice clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That the m~nutes of the Special Meeting of December 28, 1961, be and they hereby are duly approved. Wayland Jefferson has served the Town of Southold faithfully as Town H~t~ 18', 1935, N~N, THEREFORE, BEIT R~ESOLVED: That in recogn&tion of the long and untiring service of Wayland Jefferson as Town Historian of the Town of Southold, the Town Board hereby expresses its sorrow at'h the loss of a good personal friend as well as a valuable TOWn official, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That ~nen the Town Board adjourns this day, it do so out of respect to the memory of Wayland Jefferson, and BE IT FURTHER RE~OLVED: That a copy of this resolution be made part of the official minutes of the Town Board of the Town of SeUthold and that a copy of ~his resolution be transmitted to ~4rs. Smith have made written application to the Town Board dated the 15th day of Nov., 1961, to dedicate a certain highway at Indian Neck, Peconic, N.Y.
