Dear Mr. & Mrs. Cassano:
The following action as taken by the Board of Town Trustees during a Regular Meeting, held on
July 24" 2002, regarding the above matter.
\VHEREAS, Lee & Robert Cassano applied to the Southold Town Trustees for a pennit
under the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of South old, application dated June
17,2002
WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council
for their findings and recommendations, and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with respect to said application on
July 24,2002 at which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and,
WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are familiar with the premises in
question and the surrounding area, and,
WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and documentation submitted
concerning this application, and,
WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standard set forth in Chapter 97-18 of the Southold
Town Code.
WHEREAS, the Board has detennined that the project as proposed will not affect the health,

safety and general welfare of the people of the town,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT,
RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees approved the application of Lee & Robert Cassano
for a Wetland Permit to clear underbrush in left corner ofthe property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this determination should not be considered a determination
made for any other Department or Agency, which may also have an application pending for the
same or similar project.
Fee must be paid, if applicable and permit issued within six months of the date of this
notification.
If inspections are required, at a fee of$5.00 per inspection (See attached schedule).
FEES: NONE

At the meeting of the Southold Town ConserVation Advisory Council held Wednesday,
July 17, 2002, the following recommendation was made:
Moved by Bill McDermott, seconded by Drew Dillingham, it was
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board of Trustees APPROVAL of the
Wetland Permit Application of LEE & ROBERT CASSANO to clear the underbrush in a
small area of the left corner of the property.

FEE SCHEDULE FOR 2002
PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 97 WETLANDS
CHAPTER 32 BOATS, DOCKS & WHARFS
CHAPTER 37 COASTAL EROSION HAZARD AREA
A. WETLAND PERMIT: $200.00 Application Fee - Major Project - Marine Structures
with minimal impact, ie. Catwalk, Ramps, Floating Docks, New Construction.
$50.00 Application Fee - Minor Projects (to be determined by the office).
B.
No charge to meet or have a conference with the Board during ro
inspections.
C. Coastal Erosion Hazard Area (CEHA):
I. Minor projects: $50.00 for all projects where there will be less than 100 cubic yards
of excavation, grading, mining, filling or dredging; construction or modification of
open catwalks, docks, stairs, floats, piers and wharves not exceeding six (6) feet in
width; construction or modification of erosion protection structures not exceeding 100
linear ft. in length; minor building construction of less than or equal to 25% as
denoted in Chapter 37.
2. Major Projects: $100.00 for all projects in excess of minor projects and for any
building construction or modification greater than 25% as denoted in Chapter 37.
3. Variance under Chapter 37: Applications which require a variance will cost $250.00,
whether a minor or major project.
D. CONSTRUCTION FEE (TOWN WATERS): $3.00 per square foot of surface area over
Trustee Land.
E. NEW CONSTRUCTION BULKHEAD BELOW A.H. W.M. (TOWN WATERS):
$10.00 per linear foot.
