40 ft dock@ 675 Lake Dr.
Dear Mr Krupski and Trustees,
I want to go on the record as being against the proposed 40 ft dock at
675 Lake Dr. in Southold.
A smaller size structure would suffice to dock any boat that belongs on
Great Pond. A longer one would interfere
with fish and wildlife on the lake. I'm not sure the owner ,who is new
to the neighborhood, fully understands the situation
since he has an expediter pursuing the work.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Lillian Ball

Re: Permit Request for Dock and Shed at
675 Lake Drive, Southold, NY
SCTM#1000~59-17 & 18
Dear Mr. Krupski and Trustees,
With regard to the permit request made by Lucille Seitz to construct a shed and dock on
the referenced property, we have the following comments:
I) We have no objection to the construction of the proposed 10' x 16' shed.
2) We object to the construction of the proposed 3' x 40' timber dock extending
significantly into Great Pond. There is no structure like it on any other private
property on the lake. We believe such a structure wotfid have a negative
impact on the lake and its surroundings. The ~anting of a permit for this
purpose would create a precedent for other property owners to do the stone.
Imagine, if you xvould, what Great Pond would look like if each and every
property owner erected such a structure. The beauty of the lake would be
destroyed forever.
3) We would like to point out the impracticality of such a dock structure, the
primary purpose of which xvould be to act as a boat dock. When the level of
the lake is at its low point, which occurs frequently, the depth of the water at
the end of the dock would be so shallow as to make it unsuitable to tie up a
boat.
We request therefore that a permit for construction of the proposed dock be denied.
Sincerely,
Kenneth E. Richter

Dear Mr. Krupski and Trustees,
The Ken_ney's Beach Civic Association xvould like to go on record regarding the subject
permit request.
l) The Association has no objection to the proposed 10'x16' shed.
2) The Association objects to the construction of the proposed 3'x40' timber
dock projecting into Great Pond. We wish to preserve the unique nature of
Great Pond and believe that the erection of the proposed structure would have
a negative impact on the Lake and its surroundings.
We therefore respectfully request that a permit for the proposed dock not be granted.
