Grandfather Permit for a 3' X 80' catwalk, a 3' X 16' ramp
and a 6' X 20' float, install two 2-pile dolphins to secure floatin
dock, install waterline to end of dock, install electric line to end
accordance with the detailed specifications as presented in
the originating application.

CONSERVATION ADVISORY COUNCIL
At a meeting of the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council held
Thursday, September 21, 1995 the following recommendation was made:

Moved by Stephen Angell, seconded by Allan Connell, it was
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board of Trustees
DISAPPROVAL of the request for an amendment to the Wetland Permit of
JOSEPH FOELSCH 103-3-3 to increase width of the fixed open walkway and
ramp from three feet to four feet to be as follow: ~ x 80~ catwalk, a u? x
16~ ramp.
Beebe Drive, Cutchogue
The Council recommends disapproval because 3~ is adequate; the addition of a
handrail would be more appropriate.
The Council also wishes to advise the Trustees that the work has already been
completed, therefore a violation has occurred.
Vote of Council: Ayes: All
Motion carried.
NOTE: The CAC wishes to informed as to what action is taken for the
violation by the applicant.

R. Lefland M.D. received in this office dated 8/18/95.

Dear Sir:
Mr. Joseph Foelsch, to whom the permit referenced above was issued, requests that it be
amended as follows:
Increase the width of the fixed open walkway and ramp fi.om three feet to four feet, which
would change the part of the project description on the issued permit, relating to these
structures, to: "...a 4' x 80' catwalk, a 4' x 16' ramp...". Other portions of the description
would remain unchanged.
The reason for this request is a medical problem affecting Mrs. Foclsch and which is the sub-
ject of the attached note from Mrs. Fuelsch's physician.

The New York District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, has
received a request for Department of the Army authorization for
the following activity:

ACTIVITY:
Replace an existing pier assembly with a 4 foot by
80 foot fixed pier, a 4 foot by 16 foot hinged
walk-ramp, and a 6 foot by 20 foot float to be
secured to two 2-pile dolphins. Install fresh
water and electric lines to end of fixed pier.
The purpose of this project is to upgrade a
recreational mooring facility.

As this is minor in nature, authorization may be by Letter
of Permission. This is in accordance with current Federal
Regulations governing work in navigable waters of the United
States. To accomplish the coordination required, prior to the
issuance of a Letter of Permission, your review of the enclosed
drawings is requested.
Pursuant to Section 307 (c) of the Coastal Zone Management
Act of 1972 as amended (16 U.S.C. 1465 (c)), the applicant has
certified that the activity complies with and will be conducted
in a manner that is consistent with the approved state coastal
zone management program.
To allow for the timely processing of the subject
application, your comments are requested within 20 days of the
date of this letter.
