She wanted to know what the town was doing, if anything. She is calling the Coast Guard about the navigational hazard. I called Phil Horton and he said the papers were signed at Yakabosky's office on Friday and Judge Suter has them for service. Whether they have been served or not, he doesn't know. M. Mr. Johnson, the engineer, has met with the Planning Board and there has been considerable discussion about the project. This property was formerly owned by Jennie Naugles. Could you tell us if there were ever any piling permits issued on this property. One of Howard Te=x-y's comments on the proposed marina was that it will be necessary to have the approval of the'Board of Town Trustees for existing piling etc as well as proposed bulkheading, floating docks, pilings and floating barge. Apparently, they considered ~W letter an application and assigned a number to i% which you will need as you go forward with this matter. The Planning Board had also requested information ~rom the Southold Town Board of Town Trustees with regard to the pilings on the property. There wasn't ~nything in the .files so we would ass~m~ that no permits were ever issued. As is customary, I requested comments from the Building Inspector and he supplied me with the list that I k~ve also enclosed. We will not be meeting again until the 23rd of Febm~.~ and if you would like an appointment for that meeting, please contact me.
