Commencement:
· The meeting began at 7:25 p.m. with five LPC members present.
Adoption of Meeting Minutes:
· Adoption of minutes from May 17, 2005
MOTION made by Craig Arm, seconded by John Sepenoski, to accept minutes
of the May 17, 2005 meeting.
Motion carried 5/0.
The members entered into EXECUTIVE SESSION.

Tim Caufield brought members up-to-date on status of NOFO/McFeely property.
Landowner has offered entire property to Town for preservation. Prior application
was for 22 acres preservation with 4-lot conservation subdivision. LPC members
in agreement to keep Tim as facilitator for negotiations with Mr. McFeely.
Appraisal was verbally updated.

Landowner requested meeting (7:30 p.m.) with LPC to discuss contract
Steve Dubner met with LPC members to discuss possibility of re-negotiating
purchase price after his receipt of an updated appraisal on his property located
on the north side of Route 46, on which he sold his development rights to the
Town of Southold on January 12, 2005, as a bargain sale. He said that value of
property had increased significantly since time of contract.

Dicussed status of offer: [executive session]
Landowners signed letter of acceptance of recommended purchase offer for
development rights on 16.9 acres of agricultural farmland. Landowners want
option of providing horseback riding lessons to be included in development rights
area. A 2-acre lot around the existing home is to be made. Federal funding is
available for this purchase if landowners agree to use of federal language in
easement.
END OF EXECUTIVE SESSION
General:
· Offer/Motion form: Discussed comments from LPC members. All members
present in agreement to use of form at upcoming meetings.
Informational:
Palmeri property - 0.5 acre parcel located on Budd's Pond Road in Southold
(SCTM #1000-56-5-21.1) was offered for sale to Town of Southold by
landowners. Melissa Spiro instructed to contact landowners for more information
on property and asking sale price, and to request that Jim McMahon be brought
into further discussion on this property.
Tuccio (LaColla) property - Mr. Tuccio contacted Supervisor Horton regarding
the Town's interest in purchasing his property (SCTM #1000-56-4-19 & 24). As
before, LPC members in agreement that landowner's asking sales price is too
high to consider any further negotiations.
· Dubner (south) - closing date set for Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. in
Melissa's office, Land Preservation Department.
· Booth -closing date set for Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in Melissa's
office, Land Preservation Department.
Next Regular Meeting:
· The next regular meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2005, in Conference
Room, at 7:00 p.m. [This meeting was cancelled - next meeting June 28, 2005]
