REGULAR MEETING HELD
JANUARY 14, 1982
A Regular Meeting of the Southold Town Board of Appeals was
held on Thursday, January 14, 1982 at 7:30 o'clock p.m. at the
Southold Town Hall, Main Road, Southold, New York 11971.
Present were: Gerard P. Goehringer, Chairman; Charles
Grigonis, Jr.; Robert J. Douglass. (Absent were: Serge Doyen,
Jr. and Joseph H. Sawicki.)
The secretary was instructed early this afternoon to call
each of the applicants or their agents scheduled for matters to
be held tonight advising them that all hearings have been postponed
until Thursday, February 4, 1982, same times, due to the hazardous
road conditions caused by tonight's snow storm.
No other persons appeared for tonight's meeting.
Ail public hearings scheduled for tonight were postponed
until February 4, 1982, same times, same place.
On motion by Mr. Douglass, seconded by Mr. Grigonis, it was
RESOLVED, that the appeal application of Barbara Ku~awski,
Appeal No. 2944, be scheduled for public hearing to be held at
this board's next regular meeting, to wit, February 4, 1982 at
8:15 o'clock p.m. at the Southold Town Hall, Main Road, Southold,
New York.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Messrs. Goehringer, Grigonis and
Douglass. (Messrs. Doyen and Sawicki were absent.)

APPEAL NO. 2944. Application of Barbara Kujawski for a
variance to the zoning ordinance, Article III, Section 100-
30A(1) for permission to conduct a real estate branch office
from premises, zoned A-Residential and Agricultural at 125
Sound Avenue, Mattituck, New York.
On motion by Mr. Douglass, seconded by Mr. Grigonis,
it was '~
RESOLVED, to declare the following Negative EnVironmental
Declaration concerning the matter of Barbara Kujawski in
Appeal No. 2944:
ENVIRONMENTAL DECLARATION:
Pursuant to Section 617.13 of the N.Y.S. Department of
Environmental Conservation Act, Article 8 of the Environmental
Conservation Law, and Section 44-4 of the Southold Town Code,
notice is hereby given that the Southold Town Board of Appeals
has determined that the subject project as proposed in this
appeal application is hereby classified as a Type II Action,
not having a significant adverse effect upon the environment
for the following reason(s):
An Environmental Assessment in the Short Form has been
submitted which indicates that no significant adverse effects
were likely to occur should this project be implemented as
planned.
The property in question is not located within 300 feet
of tidal wetlands.
This declaration should not be considered a determination
made for any other department or agency which may also be in-
volved, nor for any other project not covered by the subject
appeal application.
Location of Property: 125 Sound Avenue, Mattituck, NY;
bounded northwest, northeast and east by J. Kujawski & ano.;
south by Sound Avenue; east by LILCO. County Tax Map Parcel
No. 1000-120-1-2.2.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Messrs. Douglass, Goehringer,
and Grigonis. (Messrs. Doyen and Sawicki were absent.)

RE: APPEAL NO. 2943 - Application of Fishers Island Develop-
ment Corp. Requests variance to divide property (and dwelling)
into two with insufficient area, width and sideyards at Whistler's
Avenue, Fishers Island, NY, County Tax Map Parcel No. 1000-9-10-11.
On motion by Mr. Grigonis, seconded by Mr. Douglass, it was
RESOLVED, that the application of Fishers Island Development
Corp., Appeal No. 2943, be tabled pending subdivision approval
from the Southold Town Planning Board.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Messrs. Grigonis, Douglass and
Goehringer. (Messrs. Doyen and Sawicki were absent.)
Recent communications received from Wickham, Wickham and
Bressler (received approximately 3:30 p.m. today) was reviewed
by the board members. Applicant's attorneys would like an
opportunity to present additional information at a rehearing
concerning the matter of Jay P. and M. Joanne Davis-Slotkin,
Appeal No. 2932. On December 23, 1981 this board's formal
findings and decision were filed with the Town Clerk and
simultaneously forwarded to applicant's attorneys denying the
original appeal. It was the feeling of the members present
that this request should be brought up when the entire board
has had an opportunity to review same.
The meeting adjourned at approximately 7:50 p.m.
