Located in a low density, private, secluded, residential
area south of East End Rd. near Isabella Beach. Prominent
hilltop setting.
18. OTHER NOTABLE FEATURES OF BUILDING AND SITE (including interior features if known).
Very large, low, rambling house in the Swiss Chalet manner with
a number of wings at various angles resulting in an irregular
"X" house shape. The enveloping roof sweeps down to first floor
level on most of the facades and is punctuated with small shed
roof and gable roof dormers. Main entrance articulated by a jerkin—
SIGNIFICANCE head facade gable with recessed balcony.

10. HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE:
This unusual house is another example of the wide variety of
house types that the summer residents built here on Fishers
Island. The south (main) gable is the Great Hall, which was
illustrated in the magazine Architecture in 1934.
