Located in a very low density, private, secluded residential
area on the east end of Fishers Island. Barlow Pond adjacent
to north and east. Heavily wooded property, open land,
cleared surrounding the house.

This house was moved here from Virginia and represents a vernacular
type quite different from the Connecticut and Long Island idiom.
21 story, 2 bay, side entrance plan, gable roof house. The stucco
end chimney is typical of old houses in the South. Smaller, 22
story, 1 bay, gable roof wing. on west. -see below # 20-

10. HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE:
This very interesting old house points out the differences
between early, regional house types.
It is a valuable addition to the variety of historic architecture
on Fishers Island.
18 - continued - Molded cornice with large dentils across both
sections. New 2%2 story, g g able roof win on north. Main door with
4-part transom. 6/6 and 4/4 windows, 2/2 in gable peak.
