Located in a very low density, private residential area, mix of
open and wooded land, with predominantly open land to the east,
towards FI-18. Predominantly wooded terrain to the south. On
road to Brooks Pt. , a narrow dirt road north of East End Rd.
18. OTHER NOTABLE FEATURES OF BUILDING AND SITE (including interior features if known):
Large, assymetrical, Modernist house with a mix of building
material; flush clapboards, brick, glass, and cut stone. Flat
roofs, with semi-circular upper story "bridge" connecting
the two main sections. Drive-through under house at south end,

0. HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE:
This is an example of the -type of country residence that was
built on fishers Island after WW II. It is an excellent example
of the Modernist Style. The architect, Erard Matthiesson, designed
numerous residences on Fishers Island. (See also FI-15) .
