HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE: " This free interpretation and variation of the Dutch Colonial motif has produced a large house with a country-house at- mosphere. The house was built by Mortimer Big. rckner, the first president of the Fishers island Corporation,as a replica of "Greg Gulls," the house he had built on the site of the old brickworks.
