DATE OF INITIAL CONSTRUCTION: Early 1920's ARCHITECT: BUILDER: 20. HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE: This is reported to be one of the earliest houses built in this part of the island. In the decade. after this house was built, various other country houses were built on Fishers Island that reflected different regional designs. This early Fishers Island country house is an adaptation of the Colonial idiom and reflects the colonial origins of Fishers Island's settlement. 21.
