Block Island Sound to the S. This is the first house located
on this extension of East End Rd. , with a house located di-
rectly in front of it.
18. OTHER NOTABLE. FEATURES OF BUILDING AND SITE (including interior features if known):
Large, 22 story, gable roof, multi bay house. Main roof extends
to first floor level over porch on entrance front. 22 story, gable
roof wing on west with wall face dormers. Smaller, 12 story,
gambrel roof wing on west. Main door with wide enframements and
sidelights. West wing with large drop pendants at corners of over-
hag, in New England-Revival manner. - see attached-

20. HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE:
This interesting house with its low sweeping roof is
typical of the low-kev large country houses that
predominate here on the east end of Fishers Island .
The use of unpainted shingles and natural fieldstone integrates
these large houses into the environment.
