Located in a medium density section of a dead end street
that borders West Harbor to the north and east. Surrounded
by later, predominantly larger, residences. Open land
in the immediate surroundings of the house.
18. OTHER NOTABLE FEATURES OF BUILDING AND SITE (including interior features if known):
Old section - Small, lk story, gable roof house with salt
box profile. Entrance on gable end under flat roof porch.
Spade motif trim at eaves. Wide overhanging roof on east
facade is supported on very large curved brackets with
pendant drops.

There was sailing, rowing and swimming.All of which I loved
as a child and as a young woman,When nine years old I swam
across the Harbor, Father accompanied me in a row boat and
said,'She wanted to swim back."'
The area where the Hedges elected to settle had evidently
been papular with earlier visitors to the island, for there were
discovered numerous artifacts throughout the property.
