Located in a medium density, residential area of the west end of
Fishers Island, north of the Mansion house, WE-18. Originally
part of a group of 31 hotel cottages in the vicinity, the house

2k story, gambrel roof, Shingle Style house with enveloping roof
extending to first floor level on north. Pent roof on subsumed
porch at first floor level, repeated at second floor level.
Interesting oriel window in gable peak with heavy shingled
hood. Large hip roof dormer on north facade. 6/1 and 4/4 win-

0. HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE:
This is one of the types of shingled cottages that were
built near the turn of the century as guest cottages for the
popular Mansion House Hotel. It might be called a "turtle
top" house .
