Located in a low-medium density, primarily residential
area at the west end of Fishers Island. The building_ is
set close to the road, below a hill to the north.
Fishers Island Yacht Club directly south, across the road on
West Harbor.
18. OTHER NOTABLE FEATURES OF BUILDING AND SITE (including interior features if known):
Large gable roof building with gable end to the street, 21, story
on south side and 1z story on north side. Main entrance on bal-
cony at 2nd floor level which has decorative sawn railing, and
is supported on 3 large brackets. Mostly 6/6 windows. Vertical
board siding and stone foundation.

0. HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE:
This building is an interesting survivor from the days when
Fishers Island had to accomodate a large number of summer
hotel guests.
This large, barn-like building was the carpenter shop for
Fishers Island Farms. I't is a good example of an adaptive
re-use.
