Located on a grassy plateau where the land sharply slopes towards
the water in this low density, residential area of summer
houses at the west end of Fishers Island. Open land surrounds
the house. Hay Harbor directly west.

Large, 2k story, multi-bay, gambrel roof house with salt box profile.
Wrap around porch on west facade with second story balcony. 2 story,
semi-hexagonal bay window on south facade, next to projecting,
pyramidal roof stair window on console brackets. Windows in gable
peak under slightly projecting hood with small brackets. Darrow
shed roof dormers. Wide board stringeourse at second story. Open
SIGNIFICANCE balcony over entrance with curved braces.

This is another of these large, important Shingle Style
houses that were built on the west end near the turn of
the century. This one is especially important because the
name of the architect is known.
