Wright, near the Fishers Island Ferry District Terminal. Predominantly open land around the site, with scattered vacant and semi-vacant buildings in the immediate vicinity. 18. OTHER NOTABLE FEATURES OF BUILDING AND SITE (including interior features if known): Large, rectangular, multi-bay, hip roof brick building with stone cornice and beveled, rusticated quoins. Diamond shaped, iron tie rod ends visible at second story. Rusticated stone lintels over 2/2 windows and doors. Interior with rail car tracks in concrete floor run parallel through the building. SIGNIFICANCE 19. DATE OF INITIAL CONSTRUCTION: early 20th century ARCHITECT: BUI LDE R: 201 HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE: This large abandoned building with its railroad tracks must have been used to store ordinance.
