Located in a medium density, residential row of similiar
houses that line the north side of Whistler Ave. Open field
to the south, across the road. This particular example is
the westernmost wood frame house, with brick houses to the west.

2k story, crossed gable roof, 3 bay, side entrance plan, gable end
to the street�jo)�& clapboard house with interior end chimney. Semi—
wraparound porch with gable at entrance. Round headed window
in gable peak with keystone motif. Ovoid windows in gable
end with keystone and voussoirs. Double leaf front door.
SIGNIFICANCE

10. HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE:
One of the least altered of the many Officers Houses that remain
here from Fort H.G. Wright. They are representative of a period in
our national history when coastal defense was important.
