Multiple bay main section with porch across the ground story and round columns on elevated base. Underground garage entrance at center. Hip roof dormers with paired windows. Mo ed cornice, rak , an returns o gable SIGNIFICANCE ends. 2/2 windows with round arch lintels. 19. DATE OF INITIAL CONSTRUCTION: 1910 ARCHITECT: BUILDER: 20. HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE: This large building is an important component of the historic Fort Terry complex. With PI-14 directly west, a similiar building, it occupies a spectacular location facing Block Island Sound on a vast, open field that was used- for parade and training grounds for the military units sent to this important coastal defense facility. (see attachment) . This is one of two buildings that contribute greatly to the historic character of Fort Terry on these grounds, at the southern edge of the clustered military structures near the middle of Plum Island. 21.
