Located in a cluster of former Fort Terry structures near
the middle of Plum Island. Predominantly open land surrounds
the building, one of the few wood clapboard structures on the
island. These roads are lined with large, old trees.
18. OTHER NOTABLE FEATURES OF BUILDING AND SITE (including interior features if known):
1% story, 3 bay, center entrance plan, narrow rectangular
gable roof building. Projecting, gable roof entrance
with double leaf door. 6/6 windows at gable ends, 16/16
along the aisles.

'0. HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE:
This Army chapel is an important part of the Fart Terry
military installation on Plum Island. The building is
within a concentration of Fort Terry Army structures
grouped near the center of the island. It is the only
clapboard, wood frame component of this historic mil-
itary installation. The wo6d truss roof structure is a
noteworthy feature.
