Open land surrounds the building, on an elevated site. 18, OTH R NOTABLE FEATURES OF BUILDING AND SITE (including interior features if known): Two large, 2x story, hip roof buildings connected by a modern hyphen. Porch across front (SE) facade and 5 bay, off center entrance. Hip roof dormers with triple windows. Other windows with segmental arches and 2/2 sash. Large wing on NW. SIGNIFICANCE 111. DATE. OF INITIAL CONSTRUCTION: Prior to 1909* ARCHITECT: BUILDER: 1o. Ills1'ORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE: This building is typical of pre WWI military architecture in an Army installation. It is part of the central group of Fort Terry structures that comprised this part of Long Island's Harbor Defense System and is historically significant to the military history of the United States.
