DATE OF INITIAL CONSTRUCTION: 1865 ARCHITECT: Ate'— BUILDER: 20HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE: This house was built by Orville terry's grandfather, who was ' also an Orville Terry. Since Orville terry's recent death, Mrs. 'Terry has sold the development rights to their 38.5 acres to the Town of Southold (which include frontage on Long Island Sound) .
