Located in low density agricultural area, surrounded by residences of varying historic date that line Main Rd. . Predominantly open farm land surroundings with marshland to t�e south. IS. OTHER NOTABLE' FEATURES' OF BUILDING AND SITE mclu ing interior features if known): Bounded by wooden "picket" fence on the north, and by stone walls elsewhere. Contains gravestones of varying historic vintage, most well preserved. Cemetery plot is empty of trees and shrubs, with grass between the stones. SIGNIFICANCE 19. DATE OF INITIAL cONSTRUCTION: ARCHITECT: .i BUILDER: 20. HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE: This cemetery is well maintained. It is a visual amenity which contributes to the ambience of this historic Kings Hwy. Because the Tuthills, who lived in the house to the west (OR-45), allowed the Terry family to use their horse cart path that led to Long Island Sound from Main Rd. , the Terrys allowed the Tuthills to bury their relatives in the Terry Cemetery. 21.
