DATE OF INITIAL CONSTRUCTION: 18th century ARCHITECT: 4P" . BUILDER: �V 20. HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL 11t1PORTANCF: The milestones on the North Fork were restored by Mt. Archibald. Young in the 1960's. Apparently this stone stood originally on the Old Main Rd. (Old Post Rd. ) just north of its present location, and was moved when the bypass was built so that it is now on NYS Rte. 25. Or perhaps Mr. Young found it lying in the marsh opposite the Petty House (OR-36), and placed it on Rte. 25 where he may have thought it would be safer. ?1.
