density residential section. Mix of open and wooded land to the
north, open and marshland to south and west. Recent land sub-
division to N/NE, west of The Nature Conservancy parcel OR-34.
18. OTHER NOTABLE FEATURES OF BUILDING AND SITE (including interior features if known):
Large, 22 story, irregular, assymetricali , gable roof house. Project-
ing gable roof wing on main (south) facade with 2 story, semi-hexagonal
bay window and triangular window in peak. Double pointed window in
wall-face gable. Semi-wraparound shed roof porch with Tuscan columns
and pavillion on SE corner.

111. DATE OF INITIAL CONSTRUCTION: 1867

20. IIIS'IORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE:
Built for John Henry Young but occupied by Frank Young. The date
1867 was written on a block of wood by Napoleon Young, one of the
carpenters. It was found in a partition. The house was later owned
by Judge Henry Wenzel II.
