SOUTHOLD TOWN BOARD

POLICY: At scheduled Town Board meetings, the attending public is encouraged to briefly
address the Town Board relating to agenda resolutions prior to their enactment; the public will
also be given time at the conclusion of the regularly scheduled business agenda to address the
Board on any given topic.

II. PUBLIC NOTICES
New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Notice of Complete
Application of Anthony Spiridakis for a permit to construct a single family dwelling within
75' of Freshwater Wetland #SO-5 on Soundview Avenue, Southold. Written comments by
June 17, 2005.

V. RESOLUTIONS
Special Note: At the start of the Town Board Meeting the Supervisor will invite the public to
speak on the following resolutions.
346. Appoint Robert J. Conway to the position of Bay Constable (seasonal) in the Southold
Town Police Department Marine Division.
347. Establish a rate of pay for part-time Legal Stenographer.
348. Accept the resignation of Robert I. Brown and Garrett A. Strang from their positions on the
Architectural Review Board.
349. Release Jayne Martin from her position of part-time Clerk Typist and appoint her to the
position of part-time Legal Stenographer in the Zoning Board of Appeals.
350. Authorize the closure of Case's Lane, Cutchogue on July 2, 2005 during the Cutchogue-
New Suffolk Historical Council "Annual Antiques Show and Sale" on the Village Green.
351. Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to advertise for Request for Proposals for engineering
services for the planning, design and development of a project to underground all overhead
utilities lines and develop kayak and bicycle access on Route 25, Orient/East Marion
Causeway.
352. Accept the bid of Galz Landscaping for the grading and seeding of sports playing fields at
Strawberry Fields Fairgrounds.
353. Authorize and direct Supervisor Horton to sign an Agreement with Galz Landscaping for
the grading and seeding of sports playing fields at Strawberry Fields Fairgrounds.
354. Appoint Carol Kalin to the position of permanent full-time Secretarial Assistant in the
Planning Department.
355. Authorize modification to the 2005 Solid Waste District budget for maintenance, supplies
and services.
356. Provisionally appoint Denise Heyse to the position of Planner Trainee in the Planning
Department.
357. Appoint members to the Fishers Island Harbor Committee: Geb Cook and Reynolds
duPont, Jr.

358. Authorize and direct Supervisor Horton to execute Partial Payment Request No. FOUR
(Form 271) and Partial Payment Request No. TWO (Form FIN-190) in relation to the
Elizabeth Airport Apron and Taxiway Stub (Construction) Grant.
359. Grant permission to Christina Richards, Department of Ecology, SUNY Stony Brook, to
conduct a research project on Japanese Knotweed on the Town's property at Horton's
Point, Southold.
360. Approve a stipend of $3,000 per year to be paid to the LWRP Coordinator.
361. Amend resolution No. 199, adopted at the April 12, 2005 regular Town Board meeting and
amended by resolution No. 320, adopted at the May 24, 2005 regular Town Board meeting,
granting an employee an extension in his or her FMLA leave without pay and keeping said
employee in the Town's group health insurance at no cost through July 2005.
362. Authorize modification to the General Fund Budget Whole Town 2005 budget for tennis
court improvements.
363. Authorize Town Clerk Neville to advertise for bids for the repair and resurfacing of two
municipal tennis courts on Fishers Island.
364. Determine that the proposed "A Local Law in Relation to Violations of an Approved Site
Plan" is a Type II action and not subject to further review pursuant to SEQRA.
365. Determine that the proposed "A Local Law in Relation to Amendments to Streetlight
Specifications" is a Type II action and not subject to further review pursuant to SEQRA.
366. Determine that the proposed "A Local Law in Relation to Stop Signs on Elijah's Lane" is a
Type II action and not subject to further review pursuant to SEQRA.
367. Determine that "A Local Law in relation to Amendments to Construction Specifications for
Roadways in Conservation Subdivisions" is an Unlisted Action pursuant to SEQRA,
establish the Town Board as lead agency, and issue a Negative Declaration for the action.
368. Appoint two interim members to the Architectural Review Committee to serve until
December 31, 2005.
369. Enact "A Local Law in relation to Violations of an Approved Site Plan".
