Early 11 story, 3 bay, side entrance plan, gable roof house
with later, large facade gable. Wing on east with pointed
window in similiar facade gable. Wing on rear, 2 story.
Porches across both sections , with scrolled brackets . Scal-
loped gable shingles .. 2/2 windows .

BUILDER: Samuel Hawkins 1884 addition.
'ri HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE:
In 1880 it was reported that builder Samuel Hawkins was
erecting a 2 story addition, 15x19 feet , to the residence
of Wm. H. Tuthill of East Marion. The ea-,-,t wing is believed
to be the 1880 addition, and that this is the house shown
on the 1838 map.
