residential , surrounded by houses of high architectural
integrity, especially to the north across Main Rd.

11 story, 2-bay 2nd story, -bay ground story, side entrance

plan, gable roof house . 4�4 windows on main section, with
small under eave windows on east and west walls on the 2nd
story. Flared gable with large returns .

20. HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE:
It is believed that this house was owned by Capt . B.
Potter in 1873 . The house resembles EM-23 , EM-16 , EM-14,
and EM-13 . It seems to have been a very popular house.
type in East Marion during the 1850's . This house con-
tributes to the ambience of the historic streetscape .
